Where to find the information you need#

UK LLC Guidebook is aimed primarily at researchers to help them understand the data available and how to work in the UK LLC Trusted Research Environment (TRE).
The table below suggests places to find information, depending on whether you’re a researcher, LPS data manager, LPS participant or other member of the public.

1. UK LLC Guidebook – take a look at Understanding UK LLC to see if UK LLC is the resource best suited to your research. Check Can I apply? to make sure you and your project are eligible. See contributing LPS and their permitted linkages to understand the breadth of data available. Look at the TRE user guide to understand what it’s like working in the TRE. |
Researchers working on an approved UK LLC project |
1. UK LLC Guidebook – go to UK LLC sample to understand the sample that underpins the datasets at the point in time you were granted access to them. Look through the TRE user guide to understand all aspects of working in the TRE. Read the individual dataset guides to learn more about the datasets. Browse the FAQs to help you troubleshoot. |
LPS data managers |
1. UK LLC Guidebook – take a look at contributing LPS, your individual LPS page and dataset pages. See permitted linkages to understand which datasets your participants are linked to. Go to UK LLC sample to see how many of your participants are included in UK LLC, how many have successfully linked and how this has changed over time. |
LPS participants and members of the public |
1. UK LLC website – read general information about UK LLC, including a list of LPS that contribute data, our privacy notice, and our values. UK LLC’s Data Use Register shows the research projects approved by UK LLC. |
